Description
Deep Purple’s classic Machine Head 1972 album UK first pressing TPSA 7504 on Purple Records A1U/ B1U with the original poster.
We all know how great Ritchie is and how good a singer Ian is and a bass player Roger is….Ian Paice punch and powerful fills are UNBELIEVABLE on this record! as is Jon Lord’s brilliant keyboard playing.
I worked with the band around this time for a short spell and listening to it today brought back a lot great memories….A great bunch of guys.
This record grades Excellent++ there is one ultra light non sounding mark on side two track one as well as some static on the run ins and run outs which is totally normal as well as some random surface noise (the stray very light tick) here and nothing serious whatsoever there are no loud pops ticks or skips..It’s a really nice first pressing and it’d be very hard to find a better first pressing at this price.
The gatefold cover grades Excellent there’s just a few light laminate pinches here and there and the some light storage corner dings and some light bending where the record goes into the sleeve...60’s/ ‘70s British record covers are thinner unlike the thicker ply US covers.... the inner is Near Mint inner (see scans).
Comes with the original poster which is in Excellent++ condition (see scans).
Comes with the original inner sleeve (see scan).
This record is the reason one collects vinyl…This record was not meant to be heard on none of that digital **** that's out there.
I've been collecting records for over 55 years now and this album is from my personal collection.
