Description

A genuine 1st pressing of Machine Head on the Purple label from 1972. Matrix A1/B1. Stampers 1-AT/Illegible. 'Gramophone' in the perimeter label text. This info alone infers a genuine 1st pressing. The Lp comes housed in a genuine original 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse cover..... it is outstandingly well preserved. No lyric sheet - sorry.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzers this is the kind of copy you dream about. Shiny surfaces and has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks either side, but nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet. The audio comes across with perfect clarity and I mean absolutely crystal clear. We are talking perfect reproduction! Interference is minimal too. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles in one or two places. I think you'll struggle beating this copy it is awesome.
Cover (Ex) Again, someone has taken amazing care with this LP and it has survived in truly superb condition. Shiny front and rear with almost no signs of use at all. The spine is intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
