Description

Shades Of Deep Purple

Original 1968 Japanese pressing on a red Polydor label pressed by Nippon Grammophon & housed in a unique to Japan glossy gatefold picture sleeve with a different design to the more common UK & US issues, with Japanese biography information & lyrics inside.  The outside panels & edges are excellent & the inside panels reveal merely the lightest spot of foxing, a natural occurrence with Japanese paper goods over time. The vinyl is stunning, VG+ with only a few surface scratches that do not affect playback. A fantastic copy of this extremely rare album!

This Japanese issue is by far the rarest edition, released in 1968 in very small quantities.  Subsequent pressings reverted to the fairly familiar US cover design. This Nippon Grammophon pressing was the only issue to have this superb & unique gatefold sleeve with full Japanese biography & lyrics printed inside the gatefold.  Please ask if you have any questions. I will provide additional photos if needed.
I will ship internationally for an additional cost, buyer pays shipping.
