Description
This is Impulse Records A-99,The Definitive Jazz Scene Volume 1, an original mono white label promo issue of this great compilation of previously un-issued recordings with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The record is in near mint condition showing almost no signs of wear. The record plays quietly throughout. The glossy gate-fold cover has a name in pen and initials in marker on the inside and some label residue on the front but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent with little or no spindle marks but again with initials in marker. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode, and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this wonderful record. This is part of my personal collection that I will be selling (slowly) over the next few months and years.
