Del Shannon This Is My Bag Near Mint Vinyl LP Liberty 1966 Rare Stereo Pressing. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.
Back Cover has very slight ring wear that is not majorably noticeable. Front cover and spine is close to flawless.
The vinyl is near mint, I have test played it in its entirety and it sounds marvellous!
Del Shannon is one of the best songwriters in rock, and I do not say that lightly. I just love the way he can sing really sad, melloncolie, desolate lyrics but it's never cloying, the melody will still have you singing at the top of your lungs and dancing!
He just did this time after time.
It's a real shame that Del passed away in 1990, he had just recorded a Slivertone masterpiece album called Rock On! And I Go To Pieces, which I think was the closer, is every bit as good as Runaround.
Del was primed and ready to reconquer the world, The Traveling Wilburys were on the brink of head hunting Del as a replacement for Roy Orbison, but sadly it was not to be!
At the very least Del bowed out at the top of his game, and reminded the world that he was a master!
I was over the moon, that the very fine Australian band the Pernice Brothers always seem to wax lryrical about Del's Genius!
There is a few of the more common UK Mono pressing around on the net, and yes! They will be a bit cheaper, my advice is to pay a few quid extra now and buy the more collectible stereo pressing, that will continue to appreciate in value due to scarcity, combined with demand from specialist collecters!
Keep in mind your market, if you want to resell in the future it is global! Del has loyal, dedicated fans, all over the world! I know this as a confirmed fact as I have sold Del Shannon albums to customers in many countries.
This was Del's first album for the liberty label, it's a belter! Grab this, this is a rare opportunity to get it in Near Mint Condition!
