Delibes Coppelia Ansermet Aust Decca SXLA 2084/5
The Suisse Romande Orchestra conducted by Ernest Ansermet performs Delibes’ “Coppelia”. A two record set, this is an original Australian stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXLA 2084/6 stampers 2E/2E). The labels have a full frequency stereo sound fatband and FFSS logo, “Original Recording by…” at 10 o’clock, and this is a pancake pressing. Record 2/3 has some light surface scuffs and otherise they are of excellent appearance and play and sound superb with occasional surface noise, and the recorded sound is amazing. The box top has rubbed a little and there is other minor wear. The leaflet has a crease.
