Dekius: Viola Sonata No 2/ Serenade from "Hassan"- Lionel Tertis,
viola; George Reeves, piano. 2-12" country-of-origin 12" first edition
English Columbia L 2342/3. Britain's (and one the world's)  greatest violists
in the first half of the 20th centrury gives the world premiere recording of
the Sonata British composer Frederic Delius composed especially for him.
Its haunting melodies are unforgettable as  are those in the composer's
most famous piece: the Serenade from his opera "Hassan"   Mint condition





From the private collection of R. Peter Munves, who was in the record business as well as an avid collector for over 50 years and has decided to part with his beloved collection. All albums are from the late 20’s to early 40’s, and many are original, 1st editions containing pristine pressings from the golden age of 78’s. This collection consists of a nearly complete run of RCA Victor Musical Masterpiece Albums and Columbia Masterworks Album Sets. Our listings are drawn from this extensive collection.
