Original 1986 U.S. pressing of Black Celebration by Depeche Mode. Specialty Records (SRC) pressing on Sire 1-25429, with the embossed symb
ols cover and original lyric inner sleeve included.
This isn’t just a synth-pop album, it’s a manifesto dressed in black vinyl. Black Celebration marked a darker, moodier evolution for Depeche Mode, diving deeper into the shadows with industrial textures, haunting melodies, and lyrical angst that would help shape goth and electronic music for decades. From the ominous sweep of the title track to the aching beauty of “Stripped” and the brooding elegance of “Dressed in Black,” this is Depeche Mode at their peak: restless, stylish, and unforgettable.
Released on Sire Records in the U.S., this first pressing features the embossed front cover with iconography down both edges (still crisp to the touch) and the yellow Sire labels with sunrise gradient. The original printed lyric inner sleeve is intact and clean. The dead wax includes the telltale SRC stamp and etched matrix numbers confirming this exact match:
