Description

An original 1st press of LAYLA on UK Polydor from 1970. Matrix A1/B2-A1/B2 [1st cut]. The labels are flat and Not ridged per the earliest copies. The vinyl comes housed in an original MacNeill gatefold cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In super condition and has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. A beautiful player - very nice and clean. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. By and large a lovely clean player throughout. The only spot it drops below the given grading is during the very fussy 'I am Yours'. I'm getting some low-level static. Nothing invasive - but this track will not play clean like all the others. But that really is about it. Still very highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) A really nice clean flat front. Please note there's a signature in the top right corner and a slight sticker removal mark below it. The rear looks real nice with hardly any surface wear. The interior is superb - no issues at all. Very little edge wear which is unusual and the openings are still sharp/firm. The spine looks in excellent condition with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. 
Inners (Vg+) Light ageing. A couple of splits have been taped up.
