Description
This is a Deroy 33rpm acetate lacquer disc from the Orpington Methodist Church. The first side is folk songs and the second is Christmas music.
This disc grades Very Good visually. There is one small chip which you can hear but does not cause a skip. But this is not a professional sound recording and it doesn’t sound that great. There is light crackle throughout and the singing is far more dominant than the music because it’s been recorded initially to tape without the room it was recorded in being set up properly. It’s also an acetate so the record itself will degrade with repeated plays.
But this remains interesting as a Deroy curio and the two sides have a naive charm to them too.
