Desperate Bicycles 1977 The Medium Was Tedium 7"
Rare opportunity to acquire this second single by DIY punks The Desperate Bicycles. Released on their own Refill Records, Danny Wigley and company were a motley crew but heralded the way for Rough Trade-style productions. This single was bought new by the present owner from Liverpool's Probe Records, and has been kept in a plastic cover since then. Nevertheless, the cheapness of the cover has worn here and there, even in select places turning brown with age! The record includes on both vinyl sides the A-side 'The Medium Was Tedium' followed by the B-side 'Don't Back The Front', a red Refill Records label on one side only. Apparently this was cheaper to do. Both sides of the single have just been played and sound excellent still, without pops or crackles or other annoyances. Many thanks for looking.
