Description
Diesel Dazzle 1966 industrial musical Hank Beebe Bill Heyer vinyl RARE!
This is one of the very rare "industrial musical" cast albums that existed from the 1950s and 60s. This one, written by Harold "Hank" Beebe and Bill Heyer. These musicals are fascinating; made for companies and corporations and including scores by actual future Broadway composers (Kander and Ebb, Bock and Harnick, etc.). The documentary Bathtubs Over Broadway talks about these shows in great (and amusing) detail.
Diesel Dazzle is one of the most infamous of these, made for the General Motors Detroit Diesel Engine Division meeting in 1966. The album is in near perfect condition, plays with no skips and only the most subtle of dust noise which could easily be cleaned with a record washer. I test played both sides and they sounded great. Slight edgewear which I took closer images of, but it is a beautiful copy that sounds and looks great. This gatefold album does not include original booklet, but it does come in its original paper inner sleeve. Play is mono, 33.3 RPM. 12 in.
As always, I am happy to take more photos and provide more information on request. Thanks for looking!
