Dire Straits Alchemy LP Promo Demo Vinyl record gifted by Mark Knopfler

A stunning example of Dire Straits Alchemy. It is un-played and in near mint condition...The vinyls could even be categorized as mint but anything that has been opened can't really be called mint so for these reasons I will state near mint.  Why was it never played..Because it was a gift from Mark Knopfler himself, to an old work colleague in the Grove Public house in Leeds where Mark played before he hit the big time. Mark returned many years later when the band were at their height of fame to give an impromptu gig..just him and his guitar. What a night that must have been for those that were lucky enough to be there. Being from Leeds I have played many times there myself..It's a great little venue for artists and bands to cut their teeth.  I purchased this directly from the man that it had been presented to after nattering his life out. Why am I offering it for sale after all these years..simply put I need the money. It's a reluctant sale but hopefully it will go to a dedicated Dire Straits fan. I am having a wide beam boat built that needs more funds to complete..I am also selling lots of other vinyl I have acquired over the years..signed albums, Promos etc, etc, so please take a look at my other items for sale.
As I have stated the vinyls are near mint un-played, a presentation by Mark Knopfler himself. The gate-fold cover is in beautiful condition still lovely and glossy with only a very slight discolouration and very minimal corner ware due to removal periodically from it's clear protective sleeve. As you can see from the pictures it has the "Promotional Copy Not For resale" stamp with the gold lettering unmarked. The original black inner's are also beautiful and crisp, and free from tears as you would expect.  For Dire Straits fans this would be a amazing upgrade due to it's condition and original press. The fact it was a present from Mark Knopfler himself makes this extra special.

Those are the etchings and stampers as best as I can make out.  Over all a wonderful example that any Dire Straits fans would be proud to own
