Here we have for auction an original early press 1985 copy of Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms released on the Vertigo label, catalogue no. VERH25. Mastered by Bob Ludwig at Masterdisk, it absolutely slams out of the speakers!
An album that belongs in everyone's vinyl collection!
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned and has come up spotlessly clean and very shiny with no marks apart from only one faint hairline on S2. Clean labels and spindle holes - it has had very little play. I have graded EX but it plays more like NM.
This is a huge & powerful recording with massive dynamic range. Forget modern compressed represses - this is how it was meant to sound! Full throttle, intoxicating, blistering stuff, Money For Nothing is a workout for your speakers, yet delicate and detailed- Why Worry? by contrast is emotional and beautiful. A masterpiece.
The outer sleeve is in excellent condition - still smooth and crisp with only light wear to the opening and corners. No splits, writing, tape, stains or tears.
The original printed inner lyric sleeve is also present & in great condition with slight wear to the bottom seam. We have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine - you will receive both.
A lovely copy of a classic rock album, in super clean and tested excellent condition, ready to pop straight onto your turntable & play loud!
