the 1st issues of Brothers in Arms did not credit Sting as co-writer for Money for Nothing. Consequently, all publishing credit was for Mark Knopfler's then publishing companies.
Only after Sting's publishing company found out that Sting lifted his ad-lib vocals (I want my own tv) during the intro and outro from the chorus of Don't stand so close to me, Sting was credited as co-writer for that song in later re-presses or reissues. Consequently, his publishing company was given publishing credits on labels and printed matter.
