Description

Walt Disney's Fantasia - Rare 1957 STER-101 "Matrix Correction" 3-LP Set Conducted by Leopold Stokowski with the Philadelphia Orchestra

For the serious Disneyana or Vinyl collector, this is a rare "transitional" copy of the original 1957 soundtrack. While the labels carry the mono WDX-101 catalog number, the runout etchings confirm this is the highly sought-after Stereo STER-101 pressing.

Unique Collector Features:

  • Stereo Matrix: Etched STER-101 in the runout of all discs.

  • Correction Marks: Features hand-etched corrections in the dead wax (e.g., "B-1" crossed out and corrected to "Side 2"), signifying an early, corrected production run.

  • Complete Ephemera: The original 24-page full-color program booklet is fully intact, firmly attached, and in excellent condition.

Detailed Condition Report:

  • Vinyl (3 LPs): Visually graded VG+. The records retain a high gloss with no deep scratches or scuffs.

  • Booklet: Crisp and vibrant. No writing, tears, or loose pages.

  • Outer Box: Solid and presentable. Shows vintage character with some whitening/shelf wear along the edges and corners (see photos).

  • Provenance: Historically play-tested and well-maintained in a smoke-free collection.
