<<60th Anniversary>>
An original 1st stereo pressing on Verve from 1962. Matrix 1A/1B. Stampers 1A/1A - making it one of the 1st ever copies to roll off the press. Label design is spot on for '62 and tax code is 'ZT' which is double confirmation. And remember that 'Stereo' was very much still in its infancy at this point. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo E J day cover. We also have the original HMV inner sleeve too. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A super looking copy someone's been very careful with this copy. Under close inspection I can make out a couple of slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Some sections on this LP are ridiculously lowkey - but this copy still manages a super clean background throughout. Highly accomplished whichever way you spin. Superb lively audio - very clean signalled. Very little to take issue with. FINAL UPGRADE. The audio is completely off-the-scale-good.
Cover (Ex) As if the vinyl weren't impressive enough the cover is looking damn fine for '62. A clean and flat front cover with one slight crease bottom right. The rear has almost totally avoided the ageing process - seriously impressive. One record sticker bottom left corner 'Shepherds Bush - London England'. Flipbacks are all intact and secure. Hardly any edge wear and firm openings. Spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Slightest ageing. Bag present. No splits. Some creasing.
