RARE Clef Records (MGC 730), Mono, VG+/E
Master and apprentice, teacher and pupil: this electric, charming album pits the Diz against his stylistic predecessor, Roy Eldridge, on a session that gains not only from these players' mutual admiration but their almost filial rivalry as well. The Oscar Peterson Trio--Peterson, piano; Herb Ellis, guitar; Ray Brown, bass--lend a hand with drummer Louis Bellson in the rhythm section. This record is in VG+ to excellent (E) condition, with very few hairline scratches and scuffs on the vinyl. The cover is also in excellent condition.TRACK LISTING:
