This is the original deep-groove 78 RPM issue of Dizzy Gillespie “Ooh Pa Pe Dah” on Blupe 100, perhaps the rarest Dizzy recording. From a Birdland broadcast, it is undocumented in many jazz discographies, whose recording date has only been speculated as sometime in January 1951. The playing surface retains its original luster: graded E. Except for Joe Carroll, personnel are basically unknown, but may include Billy Taylor. WE NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL.
