Description

Dolly Parton - The Great Pretender 1984 Vinyl LP Record VG++
Record grade: VG++ Cover grade: VG
The record is in excellent shape with virtually no marks. It's been VPI cleaned and sounds great. The cover is a cut-out, so it has a small notch on the top. This makes the cover grade an automatic VG. There is also some light corner wear, light shelf wear, light creasing along edges, and a very small bump on the edge that opens. Also please note the crease in the middle of the cover from opening it to pull out the record (last picture). The printed inner sleeve shows some crumpling, creasing, and a small tear at the top. The seams of the printed inner sleeve are also split, which is very common with these things. Please see pictures.
NOTE: I have a few Dolly Parton listings. If you win more than one of my listings, I will combine shipping.

I grade LPs based on a conservative interpretation of the Goldmine standard. This means that a VG+ record is in very nice shape and should have little to no surface noise barring an occasional moment here and there. A record with sustained surface noise will be at best a VG. All records are play-graded since not all surface noise can be detected visually. All records are shipped in new Whiplash mailers with cardboard backing with the sleeved record outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits.

Below is more thorough info on my grading system:

NM: Surfaces essentially look new. This is the highest rating I give used records.
VG+: Very nice shape. May have a few stray very light hairlines and/or light paper scuffs visible under bright light. Will have little to no surface noise barring an occasional moment here and there. No feelable marks.
VG: Has hairlines and/or paper scuffs and has audible surface noise particularly between songs and during quieter passages.
G+: Has more pronounced hairlines and paper scuffs and may have a few small feelable marks, but still no skips.
