Description
Prestige New Jazz 8257, “New Ideas” with Don Ellis, trumpet; Al Francis, vibraphone; Jaki Byard, piano; Ron Carter, bass; Charlie Persip, drums; from 1961. Original DG vinyl has no marks and plays at NM with virtually no background sound. The heavy laminated jacket is about like new with no seamwear, rigwear, corner wear, writing, or stamps, and is in the original shrink wrap which is somewhat torn and wrinkled. The jacket back has the “Prestige, 203 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield NJ” address at bottom. See scan for track listing. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
