Description
Final release recorded by this short-lived Don Rendell Sextet comprising the tenor sax maestro backed by Ronnie Ross on baritone sax, Dickie Hawson (flugelhorn and trumpet), Damian Robinson (piano), Pete Elderfield (bass) and Don Lawson (drums).
This 4-track EP from 1955 captures them at the peak of their powers.
The front laminated flipback sleeve is close to excellent on the front, and fair to Good on the back, where the opening edge sees a chunk missing and a number of small tears. Will be provided well protected inside a plastic sleeve.
The vinyl has one or two hairlines but plays through well with some minor surface noise and the odd tic/pop.
The blue and white Tempo labels are in close to excellent condition with minimal wear.
Rare jazz collectable from the golden era of British jazz, sure to increase in value.
