Donald Byrd - "Byrd in Hand" - Blue Note Records mono Lp BLP 4019 (Blue Note Records INC., 47 West 63rd St., New York 23) - address listed on labels and on back cover, deep groove on both sides, "RVG" stamped in dead wax & "ear" mark.
Features; Charlie Rouse / Pepper Adams / Walter Davis Jr. / Sam Jones / Art Taylor. Contains; Witchcraft / Here I Am / Devil Whip / Bronze Dance / Clarion Calls / The Injuns.
Sleeve is a very strong VG plus, there is a very tight 1" seam split on top edge, corners show what I would call light shelf wear. The upper right corner has a small crease, see photo. Record is excellent, clean, - a truly beautiful copy!!
This is the first of many listings from a fantastic Jazz Lp collection recently aquired by Orbit Records. The Lp's & Jackets in this collection are pristine. The former owner handled these albums with great love and care. We have been doing this for many years and have never seen records of this age, in this condition. You may never have the oppourtunity to find these titles in this condition again. We feel confident you will not be dissapointed.
