Description
Up for auction is a rare original mono pressing of the Donald Byrd 'Byrd's Word’ LP on Savoy Records MG-12032 from 1956. Other musicians include Frank Foster, Hank Jones, Dave Chambers, and Kenny Clarke.
Record info:
VG with some scuffs. Track 2 on side two has a persistent click through about half of it. It plays with some surface noise but overall plays well.
Cover info:
VG+ with general wear. Solid seams with little wear except for 1/4" seam split on bottom at jacket opening. Two covers have noticeable creasing and denting. The front cover has a library style numbered sticker on upper left. The back cover has a sticker with previous owners name on it on upper left and some age staining.
Label / Pressing info:
Original eep groove pressing with RVG stamp on both sides in the dead wax area.
Buy with confidence. I grade conservatively. I’ve been selling vinyl since 1976. All records are cleaned with a VPI professional record cleaner and are shipped with records outside the covers to avoid seam damage.
