Donald Byrd Byrd's Word Savoy 12032 mono Red label Donald Byrd's first session as a leader, a Van Gelder recording and a hard to find record

Label is "blood red" not the later, darker "maroon" and is deep groove on both sides. "RVG ", catalog number A/B and "X-20" in the runout both sides. "58 Market St. Newark N.J." address on cover. No printing on spine.
Record is VG++close to M- and plays beautifully and quietly. A nice copy. Doubt it has been played more than a few times. Record looks VG+/VG++. Light and long scuff on Side 1 that doesn't affect play. About a dozen tiny pressing dimples on Side 1 that do not affect play. No scratches. Vinyl looks very glossy and bright and grooves are not gray and do not show wear.
Cover is VG+.
A nice cover. Front cover is bright and glossy with light wear and looks nice. Dent at bottom at pocket and another small dent at the top of spine. No split seams. Small heavy wear spots at the other corners. Back cover has moderate wear and light staining top middle. No writing. Spine tight and intact.
