Description
This is the original pressing of Donald Byrd “Blows on Beacon Hill” on Transition TRLP 17. The flat rim playing surface of Side 1 is nearly flawless, with a high luster; the first track on Side B has several marks that are audible, but not intrusive; the music comes through crisply and clearly. As is normal with pressings on vinylite, the Side A label is detached (included) and the Side B label is partially detached. The laminated cover is in excellent condition, bright and clean; the seams are in great condition, with no repairs; 1 ½” split on the top seam, at the opening; ¼” wear on the bottom seam, at the opening. The 12-page booklet is as new. Original glassine inner sleeve is included. Personnel include Ray Santisi, Doug Watkins, and Jim Zitano. $1000.00
