Description

This is the original pressing of Donald Byrd “Byrd-Jazz” on Transition TRLP 5.  The flat rim playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once; however, there are four tiny pits, the first two of which are near the beginning of Side A and produce a total of 14 tics; the second two are near the beginning of Side B and produce 10 tics.  Typical of Transition pressings, both labels are included but detached from the record.  The laminated frame cover is in extraordinary condition – bright and clean throughout – with sharp corners and unworn seam; faint “149” at the top of the front.  Original glassine inner sleeve and 7-page booklet are included.  Personnel include Yusef Lateef, Bernard McKinney, Barry Harris, Alvin Jackson, and Frank Gans.  $1000.00.
