Description
Donovan: A Gift from a Flower to a Garden UK Pye Double lp Stereo NSPL 2000
Barely played copy of this classic lp
Matrices XEX 605-2 and XEX 606-2
The lp is graded near mint. It is flat and very clean and shiny. There are absolutely no observable marks in normal light. Under very intense light there are literally a couple of extremely light wispy sleeve marks which make no difference to the sound, which is stunning throughout. There are of course no feelable marks and no clicks, pops sticks or jumps. The records look as they did on purchase.
The labels are in near mint condition. They have the yellow parlophone logo and "sold in..." text indicating a very early pressing (the matrices indicate this is a very early second press). There are no stickers, writing or tears. There is a spindle mark on one of the labels but it is difficult to see any on the others indeed there is still some residue plastic around the spindle hole from the pressing process which usually comes off when the lp is played.
The cover is graded vg+. This is a notoriously difficult sleeve to find in anything approaching mint condition. Normally copies are split and badly worn. This copy does have some shelf wear on the edges/sides (see photos) but there are no splits and the corners are robust and intact. There are a couple of scratches on the back (see photo). otherwise this copy is in superb condition. The corners are intact with only the lightest of wear. The inserts are all present and in at least excellent condition.
The lps and inserts in this copy could not be much better. The inner sleeves show that they have not been out of the box very often if at all. Sadly the outer box doesn't match this quality but I have genuinely never seen a better copy. Happy bidding.
Low start, no reserve and free UK P&P.
