Hi there once again eBayers!
Here I am offering a rare Donovan album - "HMS Donovan" Double Vinyl LP Album, inc Fold Out Poster, DNLD4001.
Released in 1971, this is a first pressing and includes the original tri-fold poster.
The cover is displaying edge wear, some discolouration and some minor pen marks. The rear of the poster has some small stains, has some minor edge wear and is thin on the corners where it was attached to a wall, but the front is very good. The inner sleeves are plain paper with a plastic inner liner. The paper is discoloured and slightly worn but the plastic is intact.
Conservatively, I would rate the vinyl as Very Good+. Any marking is very minor and there are some water drop stains on the label. I have played the vinyl and, whilst you can hear a crackle between tracks, this is not apparent during the music. It does not skip or stick.
The labels, the sleeves and inside the rear album slip (inside where the record goes), is ink stamped "Peter Duffy". This record comes from Peter's vast vinyl collection. We have been informed that Peter was a founder of 3RRR FM radio station in Melbourne, Victoria. I have secured Peter's collection and, in general, it is clear that he had eclectic tastes and valued the vinyl highly. Many of the covers show small to significant wear from storage and I have assumed that the covers held very little interest for him.
