The Doors - "No-One Here Gets Out Alive" 4LP Box Set
This set contains the syndicated radio show "No-One Here Gets Out Alive", detailing the history of the Doors with interviews and music clips. Label unknown
As per Wikipedia's notes on the (now out-of-print) CD reissue from 2001:
"The box set consists of four shows, one on each disc, of a syndicated radio show called Innerview. The show was a music interview series that was hosted by Los Angeles disc jockey Jim Ladd.[1]
The box set consists of music by the Doors and interviews of the surviving members of the band. Various topics are discussed, even the possibility of singer Jim Morrison being alive and well in Africa. Drummer John Densmore only answers the question regarding Morrison being alive after the tape recorder has been switched off, effectively furthering the Morrison myth.
The shows themselves took two years to produce, and aired around the same time the book of the same name was released, during the summer of 1979, one one-hour episode per week.
The shows were initially released as a limited edition vinyl box set. The release was limited to 150 copies, many of which were kept by the radio station employees themselves."
Note: due to the poor quality of the vinyl and the plain white labels, this is almost certainly a later unauthorised reissue of this set, rather than one of the original pressings. The sound quality is good, if a little crackly in places, although there are additional flaws, as detailed below.
Sleeve: Plain black box, excellent condition.
Inner: Folded insert with spine, probably originally intended to be glued around the box.
Records: Mostly good condition as noted above, except:
Side 1B: A few slight surface marks, and slightly more crackly.
Side 2A: Has a 1" x 1/4" 'scrape' at one point on the vinyl, with accompanying slight increase in noise.
Side 2B: As 1B
Side 3A: Has an audible scratch in line with the grooves at one point, and this also caused a jump of one groove on my system.
