Description

My auctions this round are many classic LPs mostly from the 1960s and early 1970s. Please check my other auctions for an LP that may catch your eye.

 

We know the mark that Jim Morrison & the Doors left on Rock & Roll music during the few short years before his life was tragically cut short.

 

In this auction is a real piece of Rock & Roll History:

 

·       “L.A. WOMAN” by The Doors

·       This is Elektra Records 75011.

·       This LP was released in 1971.

·       This is an ORIGINAL COPY OF THIS LP with the die-cut cover (with rounded corners) and die-cut window for a cellophane image of the band.

·       It also has the ORIGINAL YELLOW PAPER INNER SLEEVE with the image of Jim Morrison being crucified on a telephone pole cross. (Controversial Stuff in 1971!) The sleeve has a small 1 ½ -inch split on one side and at bottom center. The yellow sleeve is VERY clean as you can see in the images.

·       What an excellent LP this is containing 10 cuts and among them “L.A. Woman” (of course), “Love Her Madly” and “Riders on the Storm”! Judge the excellence of the band by the excellence of the hits it has on just this one LP!!!

·       The COVER is GRADED VERY NICE VG CONDITION (please refer to the images) with some signs of light wear on both front and rear cover primarily at top and bottom of the cover on both sides and very slight wear at the top and bottom of the opening around the die-cut window. The cellophane is intact. As already mentioned, the original inner yellow sleeve (that often goes missing in many copies of this LP these days) is also included.

·       The VINYL is GRADED NEAR MINT!

·        This LEGENDARY LP, now more than 45 years old, can be added to your vinyl collection if you’re the high bidder!
