Dorothy Ashby “Afro-Harping” original LP, Cadet Records 1968
This auction is for an original pressing of the rare jazz album “Afro-Harping” from harpist Dorothy Ashby. Personally, I just can’t say enough about this record, a hip, swinging record from this native Detroiter that is full of rare grooves and a solid listen all the way through. Contains the sought after tracks “Action Line”, “Soul Vibrations”, “Afro-Harping”, and more. Record was obtained along with many other 60s and 70s jazz records from lifelong collector. Vinyl is M- with only a few small sleeve scuffs that do not affect play, lots of gloss, looks great. Heavy cardboard jacket is still in original shrink wrap up to the edges and in Mint condition with no signs of use or wear with nice strong corners. See photo below. A beautiful copy of this rare record, you’d be hard pressed to find a better one. Will ship well packed in cardboard record mailer.
