Dorothy Ashby ' The Jazz harpist ' REGENT RMG 6039 (USA) green label with deep groove - rec. in August 1956 - original 1957 issue - on trail-off (dead wax) has stamped 'RVG' for Rudy Van Gelder Dorothy Ashby : harp - Frank Wess : flute - Wendell Maeshall or Eddie Jones : bass - Ed Thigpen : drums Side A : Thou swell (Rodgers-Hart) - Stella by starlight (V.Young) - Dancing on the ceiling (Rodgers-Hart) - Aeolian groove Side B : Quietude - Spicy - Lamentation All compositions by Dorothy Ashby except as indicated Visual grading : record is EX has light wear. Clean labels with light spindle wear Playing grading : record is EX- to EX plays very well with loud and clear sound. Has a minimal occasional background noise in few quieter parts and very few light ticks Cover grading : cover is Good+ has evident wear to corners, edges and to spine. Bottom edge has been repaired for a large split. Laminated front cover is clean but has a dent on left side top edge. Back cover has some rubbing- I am selling here records from my own private collection. I have not a store or
