Earlier this year, Purple Pyramid Records, by way of Cleopatra Records, released a special 2 CD or 3 LP set of music from Dr. John, one of the most influential New Orleans artists to ever come out of the Big Easy! From what I can gather, it's both studio hits, and a bunch of unreleased tracks. There was a normal black vinyl box set, and the special Mardi Gras colored vinyl set. The colors? Purple, green and gold, of course! This is the Mardi Gras colored vinyl 3 LP set!


We lost the good doctor a few years ago, and we've been missing him ever since. I've had both the honor and the pleasure of seeing him perform numerous times through the years! His legacy of music is extensive, and will live on in the hearts and minds of his fans. Rest in peace, Night Tripper. You were, and always will be...a legend!


Pics of the vinyl are stock photos. Rest assured, this copy is BRAND NEW, and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! The records are mint, the insides are mint, and the outer sleeve is covered in shrinkwrap and nearly flawless! A great gift for that Dr. John fan in your life.
