Description

Dr Strangely Strange Heavy Petting original 12 inch vinyl.
I've had this since I bought it new when it came out in the early 70s. Being an Incredible String Band devotee I was attracted to this band when news of them first emerged. You can hear the ISB influence but they definitely have their own intelligent quirky charm.
The unusual folding sleeve is in truly excellent condition (it's been kept in a plastic bag for most of its life)- no tears, repairs, creases, markings or stickers- just very light wear to the corners. Spiral inner sleeve present and in excellent condition, unbrowned. The vinyl has been sparingly played over the years and appears to my untrained eye to be pretty flawless- except that there is a shallow chip on the edge (see photo) which stops well short of where the music starts (I've only just noticed it- an apparently not unheard-of manufacturing flaw). It plays very cleanly, hardly any non-musical noise. I believe this to be an unusually good example of a rare album.
I'll probably send it by a more expensive tracked service than Ebay seems to offer me (of course, at no additional cost to buyer).
I see that Ebay has added 'make an offer'. I don't know why- I'm quite a new seller. It's a straight auction and I won't be entertaining offers.
