Description
Up for auction is a SIGNED, Very Rare, DUANE EDDY vinyl album in NEAR MINT CONDITION, First Pressing, signed on front in Metallic Gold paint! "The Biggest Twang Of Them All", BRITISH Reprise Records Label 6218. Cover is NM, very glossy (the gloss picked-up some shine in the photo - sorry), with nice corners, straight sides and no split seams. The vinyl is NM and is very glossy with no scratches or issues. Duane does not sign many items, so this is very special indeed. See my 650 100% Positive Feedbacks and bid with confidence.
My bona fides:
Duane was kind enough to sign this album for me at his old Lake Tahoe house in the mid-1980s. During 12 years collecting Memorabilia for the Hard Rock Cafes Worldwide (mainly guitars - see magazine photo of me picking up Bo’s Diddley’s "cigar box", below), I would collect the item from the Artist in-person, and would bring a few pristine vinyl album covers for the Artist to sign with paint pens I color-coordinated to look great with the cover art. These pens actually write in paint -- color or metallic -- so the contrast is bright and looks amazing....not just standard blue ink Sharpie like most signatures.
I was also a serious vinyl record collector, buying only the best records I could find, often still sealed, or in Mint/NM condition; many first pressings. So the albums I have for auction are in fact very collectible in and of themselves -- combined with artful, legitimate signatures signed in my presence -- Truly unique + one-of a-kind. The cover is protected by an imported audiophile re-sealable clear acetate outer sleeve. Priority Mail in well-packed sturdy corrugated LP Mailer in USA is $8.50. Air Mail to Rest Of World is $18.
