Description

Rare and early 78rpm by Duke Ellington, "Rainy Nights" by The Washingtonians on obscure label Pennington 1437 from his first Blu-Disc recording session in late 1924. Reverse not by Ellington; little interest. Record is only V to V+ condition, but is still a significant addition to any Ellington collection. Ellington's Washingtonians made only two selections during this first recording session, and this is one of them. Has rim chip on one side that does NOT go into grooves ( see photo ).
