Description
This is Prestige Records P-34004 Duke Ellington Carnegie Hall Concert Jan.23,1943. This is an original white label, test pressing of this 3 record set of the previously unissued concert that premiered Black Brown And Beige, which is presented here in it's entirety for the first time. The records are in near mint condition, showing almost no signs of use. In fact I would go as far as to say they are un-played. Because of this they are visually graded. The three page info sheet plus original liner notes are included. What is a test pressing? To quote Acoustic Sounds, purveyor of high end audio products, " A vinyl test pressing is a white-label pressing that is among the first off the stamper. The record company uses it to evaluate the pressing before giving instructions to the pressing plant to proceed with multiple, finished-product pressings. Because there are so few test pressings for any given title, they become highly collectible." This is part of a small collection of test pressings I will be offering in the next few days. Please check our other listings. We discount shipping for multiple orders. Thanks for looking.
