Offered is a first edition of Duke Ellington by Creative Age Press (1946), New York, 1946. hardcover. Illustrated with photographs. the first biography of the legendary bandleader with discography. INSCRIBED and SIGNED on the title page in ink "Good luck/Duke Ellington." This original signature and inscription is in addition to Duke's facsimile signature that was published in all the books and appears on the preceding page under the photo of Ellington. Book In VG or better condition with no defects and a nice and tight binding. Small owner's name written neatly on endpaper. Lacking the dustjacket. A beautiful copy signed by one of the greatest and most influential musicians of the early 20th Century.
