Description
Background
Over the next 12-18 months I’ll be selling off a massive collection of records (5000+) from a shop that shut it’s doors in the early 1980’s. The collection covers a period from the late 1960’s through to the time of the shop’s closure and includes large quantities of 60s/70’s rock, progressive and modern classical music. Most of the items are unplayed (or at most have sustained a single play) unless otherwise noted. You don’t get many opportunities to purchase unplayed 70’s shop stock anymore! This short paragraph of background information is included whenever an item has been sourced from this collection.
UNSOLD SHOP STOCK Original U.K. 1968 Blue Horizon 45 of Duster Bennett’s ‘Raining In My Heart’ backed with ‘Jumpin’ for Joy’ (Catalogue Reference: Blue Horizon 57-3148). This is a blue, textured label CBS pressing. It is hard to tell whether this has actually been played however, there are some marks around the spindle hole but the vinyl surface doesn’t suggest that a needle has been anywhere near this copy. This is conservatively graded as being in EXCELLENT+ condition. It is a truly lovely copy that is essentially unsold stock. This is supplied in a die-cut, wavy-top white paper sleeve, which is what it was found in (and is most likely original as I don’t believe the Blue Horizon sleeves started appearing until a little later and even then they wouldn’t always have been supplied).

The sort of copy you keep and feel guilty about playing because it is so tidy! Please check my other auctions for further items from the same source in similarly immaculate condition. Save me as a Favourite Seller because there is plenty more good stuff where this came from!

I have been a collector for in excess of 15 years and I would describe myself as being conservative (I think my feed-back speaks for itself in this respect)!
