Dwight Trible & The Life Force Trio – Love Is The Answer 3xLP's OOP Rare J. Dilla, Madlib Jazz and Hip Hop come together on this amazing recording with Trible's voice getting deep. Disc E,F - Instrumental
Dwight Trible is an American jazz singer, living in Los Angeles. He has made albums in collaboration with Carlos Gabriel Niño, John Beasley, and Matthew Halsall, releasing them on Ninja Tune and Gondwana Records. He was an original member of Pure Essence

Mike Hobart, wrote in the Financial Times that "Trible has been forging his particular slant on spiritual-modal jazz for decades, delivering his love-is-the-answer message with clear diction, rich tones and a beautifully controlled vibrato. Trible's sonic range adds a dash of Isaac Hayes gravel to the imperious sonorities of Barry White, and, like them, he steeps his voice in the inflections of gospel-soul and the blues. But, having worked with the likes of Pharaoh Sanders and Charles Lloyd, he is equally in control of the nuances and demands of jazz."

Andrew Gilbert wrote in JazzTimes that "few musicians have done more to cultivate the L.A. [jazz] scene over the past four decades" than Trible

John Coltrane makes an immediate appearance on this intensely spiritual record from Dwight Trible. A Love Supreme is intoned in the improvisatory opening, a chance to stand back and take in the Los Angeles based singer and his extraordinary voice.

This voice is clearly no conventional instrument. Rich and sonorous,Trible somehow sings in a uniquely reserved fashion on record yet not compromising on feeling. Quite the contrary, as this soulful treat seems intent on bringing peace and unity to all – in huge amounts!

Love is indeed the answer where Trible and his Life Force trio are concerned, but in his depiction of this several producers and rappers are enlisted. Of greatest importance is the writing contribution of Carlos Nino, one half of Ninja colleagues Ammoncontact. He was also able to recruit the array of production talent assembled for this record, with several Californian vagaries of soul, hip hop and jazz keen to be involved. First up, possibly the biggest catch Sa-Ra, their traditional loping synthesizer lines adding much to Equipoise, a truly unusual sound when teamed with Trible’s voice, which sometimes sounds as if it’s been filtered backwards in the mix. The group also produce The10th Jewel in a similar fashion. The softly uplifting Freedom Dance with Dexter Story is a treat, the dance a pretty relaxed affair it would seem but the sentiment coming through. Madlib‘s contribution to Waves Of Infinite Harmony is an unconventional rap, but a further reference to A Love Supreme returns the album to its reverential state.

Trible hovers close to sentimentality in Is Music, using a choice pattern of phrases to state, “love is music, life is music”, going roundand round in circles. Far more moving is the album’s title track, the meaningful lyric “love is the answer, to the question, how do wechange the world?” Again he demonstrates his knack for pertinent lyrics on The 10th Jewel, where the mantra reads, “peace, unity, love, and havin’fun”. It’s Trible’s blueprint for life – follow this and you Won’t be disappointed, such is the album’s uplifting power.

Trible uses predominantly light hip hop rhythms as the basis for which to dispense his message, but again and again the album comes back to thatamazing voice. Harnessing its obvious power was the key to this record, and it makes for a spiritually cleansing high, the world feeling like a betterlace when it has ended.

Sa-Ra Creative Partners is the trio of well accomplished musicians and producers, Om'Mas Keith, Taz Arnold and Shafiq Husayn. Sa-Ra arrived into scene after being previously signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label. Sa-Ra stands out from their music peers as they have that "uniqueness" in their sound as well as their unique fashion sense. Their sound comprises of jazz, soulful elements, electronica, Euro pop, synthesized space-age sounds blended with a pinch of hip-hop making them out of this world or "futuristic". Being high-profile producers, they have contributed remixes and collabrated with many artists in various genres in the music industry. With their success, they have ascended from the underground scene causing such an instant buzz which has boosted them into the limelight.

Otis Jackson Jr. (born October 24, 1973), known professionally as Madlib, is an American DJ, music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and rapper. He is widely known for his collaborations with MF DOOM (as Madvillain), J Dilla (as Jaylib), and Freddie Gibbs (as MadGibbs). Madlib has described himself as a "DJ first, producer second, and MC last." His stage name is an acronym for "Mind Altering Demented Lessons In Beats"

James Dewitt Yancey (February 7, 1974 – February 10, 2006), better known by the stage names J Dilla and Jay Dee, was an American record producer. He emerged during the mid-1990s underground hip hop scene in Detroit, Michigan, as a member of the group Slum Village. He was also a member of the Soulquarians, a musical collective active during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
