Description
This listing is for Dystopia / Skaven split 12” record. This is a gem of an album in sweet condition. It does have one corner but it looks worse in the photo ( thats why i take them as unflattering as possible, so it can only go up from there). I strongly doubt you’ll run into a sweeter complete copy all around. Not saying its not possible, just not plausable and if you did, it would cost you alot more. This was not a cheap record by any means, not the worst, but still up there in my standards. I’m not a record person, tapes are my preference- but i went all in and built a nice library of records/ higher end vintage player and tried to get into it. Basically my records remain stored in the record cabinet and i might take some of them out twice a year and play a few. This is the one that stands out above all i own- its the only one that has what i’m assuming is that magic sound of vinyl- kind of how i appreciate a well made cassette in the right player/ right headphones. It just has that magic of sound and production. I love Dystopia and Dino’s drums sound ace on this format. Everything i’m currently parting i want to sell, except this- i’m fine if it doesn’t, but appreciative if it does, as money isn’t rolling in during this time and it has me rethinking all of my collectibles and if i really “need” them or not. I mainly play the original human garbage cd all the time and i’m good with that being my dose of Dystopia. I also have two of their 7” records i’ll be listing another day probably this week, but if you have interest i can take you some photos of those as well. This listing is just for whats in the photos- the Dystopia Skaven split with insert and booklet. Zoom in and study the photos carefully and be sure you judge the condition for yourself as far as your own personal visual standards. As far as playback its top shape. Above average sound quality, its just that great of a production/ pressing job. Minute imperfections on other corners and such, in the photo i can make out a corner area on the booklet as well. Nit picky things, aside from that one section of that one corner on the backside. Its from 1996, mega sought, high dollar, regardless of 2000 made, good luck finding one in anywhere near great shape being the era and paths i’m sure other copies lived and most likely didn’t make it. If you’re here looking then i don’t need to upsell it, i know you know all about it- maybe not about how great it sounds, thats what i can add if you haven’t had the opportunity to hear a copy. I know this will become a staple in someones collection as its been in mine. Its a beauty and just great to jam and one of the records i dont mind getting up to flip and turn the volume full tilt and let the drums and vocals do their magic. I use brand new Bags Unlimited Mighty Music Mailers for all Lp’s i part with, they have anti crush zone ends that extents past the records jacket. For this specific record being a classic gem/ pricier rarity, i will cut up another mailer ans use that carboard to make extra stiffening pads to go on both sides of the album for added safety. I want this to arrive with you in the exact condition its currently/been in. I can’t control the usps and them not caring in regards to mishandling items- they can be crappy like that and i always just assume then worst from them and take as many precautions as feasable to try and circumvent them/usps proof anything that i sell. I’ve seen some wild stuff arrive mangled and its usually the sellers fault for using subpar packaging That has always ticked me off. I researched mailers and settled on these and theyve served everyone i’ve sold to this past year well and i’m grateful for that/ let me know it was worth the investment - as i had to buy in bulk and i’m just a dude with a personal collection with zero intent of it being a business- just sometimes i part with things to make room for other things, but i bought them and 7” mailers and Gemini comic mailers for any comics i let go. I do my part. For matters outside my control- once i hand it over to usps- thatbus where the added insurance will be ( and hopefully never needed). But if it is, i will give you the receipt info and help in any way needed to get the claim finalized. What i wont do is have the money ripped out of my bank because of a bratty buyer misusing ebay buyer protection. I’ll fight tooth and nail. Be human, i do my best and its served people well and i care. I don’t have alot of money, i spend too much on things i shouldnt be. I’m a single disabled dad and at any given moment i could be scrambling to get through a week. Once someone buys my items i get to packaging up and get it over to the post office swiftly and try to package like a tank. Everything costs me money from fees to tape to mailers to gas- and then standing in line with my kid with covid still lingering. I cant afford some pos playing child games and attempting fraud on me and then my bank possibly going into overdraft for lies. If you’re that crud ball, take a day off, make this a holiday and dont purchase anything from me, i refuse to sell to unreasonable folk. If ebay doesnt vet properly, thats on them and your lack of conscience. I’m not walmart. For those who had to read all that, and doesn’t pertain to you, i apologize. It sucks thats my ebay disclaimer, i have to legally protect myself as best i can from the high risk potential bs on here. I dread listing on ebay. Saying all of that doesnt stop attempts from happening, but legally will help me if necessary and thats the best i can do as a small time every-so-often seller on here of my personal items. I feel like deleting all that but its best i leave it put Too old for the crap. **This is a template i made for all albums ( Records/ Cassette tapes/ Cd?s): Nothing i own is ?Mint?. Everything is adult/ collector owned, stored carefully away when not in use, and played only on well maintained quality players. I?m old and have been doing this a long time, i have 100% rating ( a few hundred worth) on Discogs as well as here ( checkoutmyradio is my account if you?d like to check). Some may already have done dealing with me on Instagram ( i?m keithc94). I do honest dealings and package like a tank best humanly possible within financial reason. For all records i use brand new Bags Unlimited Mighty Music Mailers with extended anti crush zones. For 7? i use new Bags Unlimited regular 7? mailers as they don?t make the Mighty ones in that size. I?m just a collector, not a store, never intended to ever part with any of my music or collectables, it just happens naturally from time to time, i don?t hear what i once heard any longer in an album or a band posts something i don?t agree with on social media, then i sell. Or i look at all of what i?ve accumulated and how much money i have sunk into this habit and figure why not let some go and use the funds elsewhere. What i?m parting with now is deep into my most personal part of my collection. It took a good 8-9 years of straight hitting shows, making contacts overseas, trades, getting to know bands- and mostly, Money* Money i probably didn?t have to spend but did anyway. I stopped that last year and now i?ve been going back and relistening to everything and i just dont have the ear/ attachment to these anymore. I know what they?re worth and prices will reflect that but also be fair. Alot you wont be able to find anywhere just like i spent years stalking them and had almost given up. Some i may have the only copy, i?ve had some bands gift me some cool one-off albums. They are all in USED condition. Played/ enjoyed. I can only think of one cd and two tapes that i?m listing today that have a discrepency in playback in one spot and all are from the labels doing and will be noted in those listings. All play just as they should and were made. Tapes are my main thing so sound quality is a huge issue with me. When you get into crust/ punk and diy there?s some pretty bad sounding stuff out there. If any of mine ever sound that bad i toss them generally or at the very least describe how they sound to my ears. Again, thats the labels or bands doing. Nature of the beast. I cut deals for anyone spending a larger chunk of dough. If you spend around $80-100 i?m willing to switch things around for you from more than one listing and combine a custom one just for you. If you?re spending $200 + i will bless you with killer discounts/ free shit. That?s just how i?ve always done it. You help me, i help you. If you?re an ebay scammer piece of shit, try your bestest not be for a fragment in time and don?t buy from here because i will fight you tooth and nail. I know my albums in an out and again i do only honest business from one collector to another. Customer aint always right. I?m right because these albums were a part of me and if you cant accept these conditions then these ones here aint for you. I?m super easy to get along with and answer messages swiftly, feel free to write anytime. I generally have more photos than the standard 12 available in the listings. Also, contacting me is a good way to see what all i have avaialble before it hits ebay, and can hammer out a deal beforehand and such. I don?t grade the outer clear cases on tapes- some have cracks or broken hinges - same with cd jewel cases- far too time consuming to look over those when they are a simple/ cheap fix if not up someone elses standards. For me they are fine and serve their purpose and some that came cracked add to their history of how or where i got them from. Its just something i dont nitpick on. Some tapes come in these folding paper style cases and they are hard to package up safely/ take a little more bulk in the packaging size to keep them as safe as i can- and some arrived with creases in the ends or elsewhere. Again, nature of the beast when coming from overseas most times. Alot of smaller bands/ or diy releases make cool slim slip cases for their cds/ cdr?s- they take a hit quite often in transit as well. As far as record jackets- i?ve maybe had one slip out my hand twice over the years. Other than that- any jacket damage was from the labels/ bands shipping them in some weak ass mailers. I?ve literally received a $100 + lp before from overseas sandwiched between two thin pieces of cereal box- and yes it arrived damaged big shocker- but no worries thats my colored Aura Noir and thats a staple regardless. If you know, you know- its ridiculous what arrives at my door sometimes. That is why i go above when packaging up what i sell. I do what i humanly can to assure its secure to my standards- which are high and not cheapin out. If it feels flimsy, i?ll say fuck it and cut up another mailer and add some more protection, especially on a pricey lp, i do a little extra on those for sure. By pricey i mean only like $45 or above but just depends on the rarity too and how down to earth you are when you make contact through messages. Any belittling of my albums or prices will be a waste of time, for you. I have too much shit to do daily and with covid and my kids school starting back up ( online but still) and a puppy ( which isnt allowed in my bedroom where i store all of my albums). I do check and respond here all day and stay up quite late generally, so don?t fret, i?ll answer asap - just possible i?m asleep for a few hours or out running errands. As far as shipping i?ve always liked to get orders out by next day- with the way things are right now though, i can?t guarantee that but will still shoot for that naturally. At worst case i?d say 3 days tops but i don?t see me being able to enforce that. I like getting the goods out to fellow appreciators quick- but most importantly safely ( the albums). I?ll need to bring my kid along with me and with covid that means changing clothes when we return and all kinds of new routine tasks. So i definitely wont be doing it every day, plus gas- it?s just too much and i hopefully you relate and understand because i want you to open these up as soon as possible almost as much as you do. As far as shipping goes i use USPS. I quit doing first class ( when it was 3 tapes or under i used to until rates kept sneaking up). I ship only via Media Mail. If you would like a better service you will need to cover those added costs and we would have to adjust the listing to reflect the higher price. I?m totally cool with doing that, just ask- but not sure what i?m currently selling that would even fit in the low weight class of first class? I have noticed packages getting lost that were coming to me from here on ebay, and with election craziness going on with the usps - i strongly recommend adding insurance to your orders- i?m pretty sure an added $3.50 to the already posted shipping total will get you up to $100 worth of insurance. READ CAREFULLY: if you DO NOT opt/ pay for the added insurance and your package is lost or.. nevermind, i?m adding the $3.50 to every order just so i?m covered as well, i?ve seen too many bad scenarios unfold. Sorry for added cost but it protectes both of us it just sucks its come to this. **Continental U.S. shipping only**. I will add extra details to each listings description but this should cover most basic knowledge of my albums/ how i operate. For records, i almost never play them. Some i?ve only played once, most i?ve only payed two or three times over the years. Just not a record person, too much up and down with my back. I?ll be listing tapes first- about 12 lots worth ( stoner/ sludge/ death metal/ black metal/ crust/ dbeat). It will take me all day/ night maybe even into tomorrow to get those up but they are all photographed and ready to roll. LP?s and 10? & 7? records will follow shortly after- may take me the rest of the week for that. Again, can always write and ask for photos of what i have before they go live. Would save me time/ trouble making more listings and it could benefit you better in the end. This is long winded so.. -Brian ( Las Vegas, Nevada). Absoultely no returns/ refunds/ exchanges/ lies/ ebay cons- you will get exactly whats in the photos and described by me. Use photos for your decision making, and that alone is more than you can get from a Discogs listing. This takes me alot of time to make all of these and closed my ebay shop down when covid started, i am just now ready to sell my stuff again. On a huge less-is-more kick and the money will sure go to use. Be Metal or keep on the pedal
