Welcome to my third round of auctions of REPRODUCTIONS of rare, early and fun discs. Over the next several weeks I will be listing HUNDREDS of titles from 1888 - 1929. Original discs are copied by using them as a "master matrix", which reproduces scuffs and all. The new copies are pressed in a material which plays just like vintage shellac; they can be played on vintage equipment with steel needles if desired. For this round of auctions I will be listing numerous Berliner recordings from the very beginning (August 1898) through the change to the Gramophone Company. This recording is the earliest 7" European disc I've seen, dated August 25th of 1898. This disc predates both the recording angel and "Recorded in Hanover" and represents one of the first of such recordings made outside of the USA. The original copy from which it was made is in overall good condition. and plays well. A white crayon was used to make the "label" easier to read, it can be washed off, if desired.
Shipping via media mail with tracking is $5 within the continental USA. International shipping is at cost, while USPS is the least expensive method it does not include tracking nor insurance. If an international buyer chooses USPS shipping then they assume all responsibility.
Hate mail from those who think my reproductions will "ruin the 78 market" will now be ignored and the senders blocked and reported to Ebay.
