Up for auction is an incredibly rare, museum-worthy piece of 19th-century recorded sound history: an original 7-inch single-sided E. Berliner's Gramophone record. Catalog Number: 0373Title: "A Bunch of Rags"Artist: Vess L. Ossman (The legendary "Banjo King" of the ragtime era) Dating: Features the distinct hand-inscribed recording/patent date of 11/10/99 to the right of the spindle hole. Condition Details: The disc is uncleaned to preserve its historical state and displays prominent surface dust, fingerprints, and light handling scuffs. There are no apparent deep cracks.
