Recorded, Berlin, 1932  [mx 018871 / 018872] with piano accompaniment by Arpad Sandor   Short catalog life due to new racial laws.  Normally seen on the Supraphone label.  No LP release.  Eva Liebenberg studied singing with Hugo Rasch.  1927 debut in Bayreuth, where she sang Erda in Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelugen. She sang in New York, again in Bayreuth, Milan and London as well as throughout Germany. She also taught, one of her most prominent pupils being Eva Bormemann. 

Conservative GRADE: 1-2 Beautiful, wear-free copy!.

1-2     TOP Condition - no visible wear or significant defects
2         VERY FINE COPY - only a few light non-sounding (NS) rubs or marks
2-3     FINE COPY - a few more light ns rubs, marks, or blemishes
3     VERY GOOD COPY - light gray traces (LGT), usually inaudible, and possibly other superficial, ns flaws, or possibly light-sounding thumps or swish from inherent pressing defects (fully described)
3-4  GOOD COPY - discs in this category have slightly more audible sonic wear from minor gray traces (MGT) usually on fortissimo passages, and possibly other sounding defects, such as ticks from small scratches (SS) or needle digs (ND)
