Description
This is a lot consisting of the two U.S. Asylum Records LPs titled 'Their Greatest Hits' Volumes I and II from country rock legends The Eagles - Details are as follows:
1) Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) - Asylum 6E-105 - The first compilation album by the American rock band the Eagles, released by Asylum Records on February 17, 1976. It contains a selection of songs from the band's first four albums, which were released from 1972 to 1975. On the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, the album reached number one, where it stayed for five weeks. CONDITION ASPECTS: Cover of the LP is still surrounded by its original factory shrinkwrap, with the original hype sticker still affixed to the shrinkwrap over the front cover - Shrinkwrap has a small missing area over the lower right area of the front cover. Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks, Condition of cover is EX with just a little wear along its right hand open edge, no other visible flaws. Record comes packaged inside the cover in its original plain white paper inner sleeve, which has a few wrinkles, no splits or tears.
2) Eagles Greatest Hits Volume 2 is the second compilation album by the Eagles. It features many of their biggest hits not on Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975), including "Hotel California", their signature song. The album was released in 1982, after the band's breakup. That same year, Don Henley and Glenn Frey both released their debut solo albums. The compilation features eight combined tracks from Hotel California and The Long Run. Also included is "After the Thrill Is Gone", an album track from One of These Nights. (That song, with its title that summed up the state of the band at the time, was strategically placed as the last track on Eagles Greatest Hits Volume 2.) "Seven Bridges Road", the single from 1980's Eagles Live, rounds out the album, which has sold over 11 million copies in the U.S. since its release. CONDITION ASPECTS: Cover of the LP is still surrounded by its original factory shrinkwrap. Condition of record is VG+ with a few visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of cover is also a high VG+ with the original factory shrinkwrap having a couple of small tears but still surrounding the cover, and with a few small wrinkles and some wear along the open edge and on the corners on the open edge. Record comes packaged inside the cover in its original custom inner sleeve with pictures of other then-current Eagles and Eagles-related LPs, which has splits in all three of its edges which I have repaired with clear tape.
This lot will give its buyer all of the most well known essential Eagles tracks from the prime of their career in the 1970s and very early 1980s!
