Description
- Eagles released their first live album in November 1980 on Asylum Records. "Eagles Live" is a double disc compilation that features five tracks that were recorded in October 1976 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and 10 tracks from July 1980 shows in Long Beach and Santa Monica. It's filled with past hits and the only new song was "Seven Bridges Road" which was released as a single.
- This rare copy (BB 705) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition. The gatefold cover has the embossed rivets and latch and is easily VG+. The two color inner sleeves are in perfect condition as is the original two-sided 33" x 22" color poster. Please see the pictures. Both discs test played cleanly and are also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl.
- It was mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in NYC and pressed by Monarch Record Mfg. Co. in Los Angeles. The Side 1 dead wax is etched (MR) BB 705 A 13 MON A24899 (4) STERLING TJ IS IT ILLEGAL TO YELL "MOVIE" IN A FIREHOUSE? except for the Monarch logo (MR) and STERLING TJ which are stamped. The "Firehouse" question is part of the band's running joke and each of the four discs have different text.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve. It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 41 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
