Boogie Blues b/w In The Dark 45 - EARL PETERSON (Sun 197)
Original 1954 U.S. 7" 45. Good hillbilly 2-sider, w/ 'Michigan's Singing Cowboy' channeling Hank Williams on the A-side. Not too common as a 7" + the label features 3 push marks, a guarantee that this is the authentic, real deal. Record has been very much enjoyed/abused, but still plays thru quite alright. I'll offer a cleaner copy, next time I get one - don't hold your breath on when that may be...
Disc = G to G+ (probably closer to G, actually - mucho thin hairlines + soft scuffs; plus, there's a scratch/scuff thru all of the B-side, tho it doesn't really cause any additional noise, believe it or not; both sides play BETTER than they grade; NO skips; NO distortion; average background crackle + scattered background pops/clicks, w/ there being a few more of the latter on the B-side, due to that scratch; however, there is NOT a pop/click every revolution, as you would expect, it is only intermittent; and the music DEFINITELY dominates over the background on both sides; all told, it's a genuine DECENT listen)
Labels = see pix; some general wear
