Description
East of Eden 'Snafu' 1970 UK original vinyl album on the Deram label, catalogue number SML 1050 (stereo).
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side 1: ZAL-9435.P-1W 1 U JT Side 2: ZAL-9436.P-1W 1 C JT
This is a very heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Both sides of the record have some light surface scratches and small surface marks, probably caused by bag movement, but I cannot feel any of them. Both sides are a little crackly at the start but after about half a minute move into very clean sound which is then excellent all the way through with very little lessening of the audio quality. There are a few random, very light ticks (not many at all) and a little surface sound where it can be heard but overall it's brilliant. There are no sticks, no skips, no jumps.
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have some light spindle lines but they are in very nice condition - no writing, no damage.
The cover is a standard single sleeve. The front is coated by a clear laminate which has some small creases at the edges, a narrow line of laminate lift next to the spine and 6 or 7 thumb creases near the open edge. The back, with mono/stereo peep hole, is not laminated and has some light surface wear and ring wear - generally this cover is in very good shape.
The spine is excellent and, although a little flattened, it is completely readable; just a little rub wear at each end and a few small creases.
The inner sleeve is the original with a blue stereo border, it has some stains and creases but is still fully intact, poly-lined - no seam splits, no tears.
I have checked the Record Collector grading system and I would say the cover is 'very good+', the record is visually 'very good+' and the audio is nearer 'excellent.'
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a strong record mailing box with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
