I'm listing some records at low prices this week. Please check my other auctions!
The first of two solo LP offerings from the immensely talented Ed Drake who led Marne, Michigan's Masters of Stonehouse (who waxed with the Dylan-esque single "Please" / "If You Treat Me Bad Again" in July '66 on the obscure label Discotheque.)
This is the only known release on the Aletheia label, dated 1972.
Somehow I think Ed was being in earnest with that coffin on the cover, pointing heavenward with guitar in hand, and was not exhibiting a weird sense of humor.
Songs: Before, Same Ol' Song, Holding Back, I've Travelled That Road, What An Answer, All I Need Is Jesus (very Dylan-esque, w/organ), Since He Found Me, and After (an imminently catchy song almost 14 minutes in length, reminding me of both McCartney and Pink Floyd!)
Record's pretty scratched up in some places. Plays through on my Thorens at 2.5g tonearm weight with some sizzle noise and pops but no jumps or sticks. A good filler copy of an impossible-to-find LP!
Jacket looks pretty nice from front. Rear is yellowed and a little stained. Seams are tight with no splits, and no writing on jacket anywhere.
